Dynamic inventory is only as good as its source
If your CMDB is wrong, your automation is wrong faster.
Dynamic inventory sounds like the end of stale host lists. It isn't. It moves the problem upstream, into whatever system feeds it.
Before you trust a cloud or CMDB source, compare it with reality once a week: hosts that answer ping but aren't in inventory, and hosts in inventory that never answer.
The gap between those two lists is your real risk. Keep it small and visible.
